Action Camp is both a term for an information exchange among activists, and a euphimism
for christian summer camp.

Has Action Camp always been a duo?
Well, in terms of songwriting it has always been just Maura and Bengt. We have however
had two drummers, and a few guest musicians.

Clinton Degan (of Fetish Chicken):
Played drums our first 2 shows before we went more electronic. He also played electric
piano on "Prayer", and is a frequent guest musician in live shows. See him in action with
the camp here.

Cameron Mahoney (aka Super Cameron):

He played drums on many tracks on Dead Like Tan and Cover Like Tan.You can

Dead Like Tan (2008)

When/Where was it recorded?
It was written and recorded from about March 2006 to March 2008, which is a fairly
long time for making a record, but we really took our time. The majority of the recording
was done in two places: a brownstone in the Back Bay area of Boston and the "Bunker",
Bengt's garage/apartment in Brookline, MA. A few vocal and bass takes were also cut in
Maura's childhood bedroom in Pittsburgh, PA.

What is the name supposed to mean?
Dead Like Tan refers to an ongoing joke about the pale complexion of both Maura and
Bengt. Both of them basically just burn in the sun, so the closest thing to a tan they get is
dead skin. Hence the name: Dead Like Tan.

What are the lyrics on the inside right panel from?
Listen to the record, they're in there somewhere.

What do you mean by "digtal and damn proud"?
Digital and damn proud refers to the process in which the record was made. No analog
tape, or hardware was used in the making of Dead Like Tan.

What's with the little square color dots on the left panel?
When deciding on the sequencing of the tracks, Maura and Bengt took each song and
wrote down the mood, dynamics, key, and assigned a color to represent each song.
The dots from left to right are the colors for the tracks in order.
