Show 15
August 26th, 2007
Lucky Dog Music Hall
Worcester , MA
Diary:
Making our way almost into september was our second show at the lucky dog in
worchester. We had the task of going on first, always a mixed bag. However,
with the headliner being an 80s cover band, we at least got to revel in a little
(extra) dress up and some new covers (God forgive me, I don't remember them).
Things went relatively without a hitch and Bengt's sister Kim got some videos
out of it which yinz can catch on youtube.
Even if the crowd was sparse, they still took a shining to us, including the owner's girlfriend who advised us to stick to our stuff even though the covers were fun to hear (why thank you!). Curiosity was the tart treat that followed us, accompanied with ToyBox theater doing puppetry throughout. An interesting assortment of dance, goth, and exacting vocals combined with an elborate act of siloettes, dolls, puppets, and an outfit completely made of children's stuffed animals.
We unfortunately couldn't stick around for flock of assholes as they arrived late and we both had to get home. While the money's rarely right, it's still always at least an interesting time at lucky dogs.
peace,
~Maura
